Firefox 0.9.x Incorrectly Setting Itself as Default Browser

Post by Jack »

Due to bug 246078, Firefox 0.9.2 uses incorrect Windows registry settings when attempting to make itself the default browser on various Windows operating systems. The best way to correct this at the moment is to download a registry file fix. Please note that this is not officially supported, but it is reported to work on Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, and Windows XP machines. It should also work on Windows 95, but hasn't been fully tested on Windows 95. Only use the above fix if you want Firefox 0.9.1 to be your default browser on Windows, and after you set it to be.
